She grew up surrounded by art and began drawing as a young child. She studied in Milan at the Politecnico Milano for a degree in Architecture and Interior Design, and afterwards started working as a porcelain and ceramics painter, at the same time attending illustration workshops. Paola’s main interest are picture book projects and she also likes working on  pattern design, stationery, cards design, gifting, and clothing print. 

She has loved illustrated books since childhood and enjoyed the magic of illustration thanks to hers grandma's Christmas cards collection. Benefitting from the teaching of Simone Rea she embarked on a full time professional Illustration career.

When not working she loves spending time outdoors with her family hiking surrounded by nature, and playing with her son and pet dog.

She believes that her illustration should 'capture the poetry of everyday things and the colours of childhood. She works with both traditional and digital techniques.
